A home battery stores the solar your panels make during the day so the house can run on it at night, and with backup wired in it keeps power on through a blackout. Fusion sizes the battery to your usage, installs it with the backup circuit and switchboard work, and lodges the federal Cheaper Home Batteries paperwork.

What a battery installation involves
Every battery is assessed on your existing solar, your evening usage and your backup needs. A typical installation includes:

We check your existing solar (or design from scratch) and your evening energy use.
Battery sizing
Sized to your actual evening consumption + any backup needs.
Brand selection
Sigenergy, Tesla, GoodWe or Sungrow based on your budget and needs.
Hybrid inverter (if needed)
Some retrofits need a new hybrid inverter.
NSW battery rebate
PDRS rebate processed, deducted from your quote.
VPP enrolment
Optional. Enrol in a Virtual Power Plant for extra payments.
Battery installs done properly the first time
Batteries are a high-ticket install with serious safety considerations: lithium chemistry, fire safety clearances, hybrid inverter wiring, switchboard isolation. Get it wrong and the install fails an inspection or worse.
Fusion is SAA accredited for both solar and battery installation. We handle the whole job, including any switchboard upgrades or hybrid inverter changes, in-house. No sub-contracted sparky doing the wiring on a battery they've never installed before.
